A holiday at Casa Castanea has something for everyone, from swimming in the private pool, to playing golf on one of the award winning courses nearby. For a more relaxing pace of life, you can walk through the nature reserve or simply enjoy a wonderful meal at one of the many beach restaurants only 10 minutes walk away.
The 10 x 5m pool can be heated (on request at an extra charge) which means it is possible to swim almost all the year round. There are eight sunbeds by the pool, large outdoor sofas and an outside shower.
There is lovely shaded BBQ area with outside dining table for 10, overlooking the gardens and pool.
There is space for two cars in the drive. The drive is entered through electric gates making the property very secure.
Whether it's jogging along the 10 mile stretch of golden sand, sunbathing by the sea or building sandcastles, the local beaches have something for everyone. There is also a large selection of water sports in the summer months.
There are tennis courts very close to the villa at Dunas Douradas (1 minute walk) and the Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy (10 minutes walk).
The villa is ideally situated for golf. It is only 5 minutes drive from the Royal and Ocean courses at Vale do Lobo and only 5 minutes drive from all the courses at Quinta do Lago.
There are so many excellent restaurants in the area on the beach and a little inland. The fish is excellent and the piri-piri chicken is legendary. Hit the beach restaurants for spectacular views!
Only 5 mins from the villa is the Ria Formose Nature Reserve. Whether you fancy a stroll or a bike ride the nature reserve is worth a visit. See if you can spot the flamingos!
