Location

Nestled in between the resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, the villa is only 20 minutes drive from Faro airport. Taxis are plentiful and a one-way fare costs approximately 30 euros. However, car hire is recommended. BA, Easyjet, Norwegian, Jet2 and Aer Lingus all fly direct to Faro from the UK and Ireland. Lisbon is only a two hour drive away should you choose to fly into the beautiful capital city of Portugal.

Directions from Faro Aiport

Leave Faro airport and drive for approximately 3 kilometres until you see signs to Faro and Portimão. Turn right towards Lisboa/Portimão/Loule. This will bring you to the main road - EN 125. Continue for approximately 4 km until you see signs for Loulé and Portimão. Turn right towards Portimão and continue straight ahead for approximately 3 km. You will then see a billboard for Quinta do Lago on your left and São Lourenço Church on your right. Turn right up the slip road, following the sign to Almancil. Drive for a further 2 -3 km until you reach Almancil.

When you get to Almancil, you will see a sign for Quinta do Lago. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights. After approximately 500 metres you will come to a fork in the road and will see a sign for Quinta do Lago. Take the left fork, passing a golf shop on your right. Carry straight on for another 2 km until you come to a roundabout with a Q on it. Turn right at this roundabout.

Continue on this road for 2 mins until you reach the next roundabout (restaurant Alambique is on your right). Take the left turn at this roundabout, sign posted Garrão beach and the Ria Park Hotel. Continue for approximately 2 kilometres until you come to an archway on your left with Vale do Garrão written on it. Go under the archway, take the first road on the left and Casa Castanea (no 61) is the second house on the right.
